The 1st of every month in the City Daily Photo community is theme day, this months theme is empty. I saw this view of an empty stairwell on a beach front condo and thought it would be great for the theme. Even though it's a touch off kilter I like the composition with the two dark quadrants juxtaposed by the light quadrants with the beach and gulf beyond. But when it came to posting it yesterday, well the stairwell wasn't the only thing that was empty!
