Today was the last day of preaching and service for Reverend Susanne Nazian at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Venice. She has served over eight years in a congregation that is only ten years old! She will be greatly missed including those like myself who have only known her a short time. She has been a great listener, guide, friend, and encourager for myself and many others.
Her last service was a bit of fun with clips of The Vicar of Dibley interspersed with comments from Reverend Susanne. Very appropriate as there are quite a few similarities between the two! That may give you a clue as to why she is loved and will be missed so much. Although I don't think either Rev. Susanne or the congregation are quite as eccentric as Dibley, but that is TV after all.

A few years ago I lived in the charming town of Venice Florida. Life has brought me back here again and it is my pleasure to share it with you. Visit this blog often to see one of the delights of Florida's Gulf Coast.
